A Place For Cats Who Need The Outdoors

Not all of them can be on display at Petco...

Evolving How We Love and Treat TNR Strays

Not all of them have a "community" waiting...
OUR MISSION
We're here to house and care for feral and semi-feral strays that need the outdoors. We aim to provide a smart, sustainable solution that takes cats off the streets and makes room for more adoptable cats in clinics and shelters --and ultimately reduces the number of euthanized cats.
WHAT ARE FERAL AND SEMI-FERAL CATS?
These are cats that grew up outside away from humans, or escaped their indoor home at some point and have lived outside so long they've totally adapted to the outdoor life. Many will never reacclimate to the indoors and need a safe, reliable place to call home.

What Cats Do We Help?

Feral & Semi-Feral TNR Strays

Not all cats have a community.

Many cats that are trapped, neutered and released are set free where they were trapped just 24 - 48 hours after surgery. According to the ASPCA, they need  7 - 10 days for the incision to properly heal.

They need to be in a confined space so they can't run or jump. It's the only way to ensure that the stitches don't tear.

We'll take in TNR cats who would otherwise be released 24 - 28 hours after snip surgery and let them recover for 10 days.

We will release them into our habitat when they're healed, so they can live a good life.

If they were brought in by a caretaker who simply needed a place for them to recover but wishes to take them back to a community, we will also do that.

Hard-To-Adopt Shelter Cats

Most shelters don't take in feral or semi-feral cats like these, but sometimes they end up with cats that are a little less adoptable than the rest.

Maybe they're too shy or wild and no one seems to want them. Maybe they're an older cat that gets passed on time and time again. Or maybe they're a solid black cat that's been there way too long--yep, fewer solid black cats get adopted.

If our local humane society has any barn cats that have been waiting a long time for a farm home, we will help them too. This will help make room for other cats.

We also aim to take in hard-to-adopt cats from local shelters so they can have more room for cats that are more adoptable. Ultimately, this will help reduce the number of euthanized cats.

Indoor/Outdoor Pet Cats

Some cats are miserable when they're boarded and kept in a confined space. We'll have sections in the habitat built to safely house one cat. This gives outdoor cat owners a better way to board their semi-wild fur babies.

They'll get their own outdoor space/section with plenty of shelter, structures, food, water and people to care for them. This will help high-energy cats avoid the anxiety associated with prolonged confinement and gives owners of these types of cats a better way to board their fur babies.

Each outside section for boarding will be cleaned and upkept to the highest standards.
